Ailén is a Clinical Psychologist registered with the HCPC. She draws upon a variety of evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), and third-wave therapies such as Schema Therapy and Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT).

Treatment plans are tailored to each client's needs, values, and goals. Ailén emphasises the importance of the therapeutic relationship, believing it to be a key factor in achieving positive outcomes. She offers a safe and non-judgmental space for clients to explore their difficulties.

Ailén has extensive experience supporting individuals with common mental health issues like anxiety disorders and depression, as well as more complex conditions. She has a particular interest in complex trauma, eating and body image disorders, ADHD, and attachment difficulties. Alongside her private practice, she works for an NHS eating disorders service.

She completed a diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy at Buckinghamshire New University (BABCP accredited) and is certified in EMDR. Ailén is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Psychology focused on Cognitive Neurosciences, researching emotion recognition and theory of mind in individuals with Complex PTSD.​
